I'm a little bias on this subject here because I'm from the south. For years I have been saying the SEC is the best conference in the nation. Well the last couple of years they have been proving me right! Did anyone see that beating Hawaii took from Georgia! The Michigan/Florida game was great and Tenn beat Wisconsin. Arkansas lost to Mizzo but overall the SEC once again will dominate the bowl games this year. I think LSU will take it to OSU like Florida did last year. Teams in the SEC is stacked! During the regular season they beat up on each other all year and when Bowl time comes they are well battle tested. Every week if you are the number 1 team in the nation and you play in the SEC you could loose! Teams are just that good! For years and years people have over looked the boys from down south but now people are taking notice! Not the ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Ten, MAC, PAC-10, WAC, etc......can compare!

Alright i'll give the SEC credit they do beat up on each other, but when they play out of conference against prestigious programs they lose more often and don't seem to play as well as they do against each other. Why? Recruiting has changed. Big teams are recruiting nationwide now. OSU, ND, PSU, USC, UCLA etc. These schools are going down to Tx, La, FL and all over the south to recruit Blue chips and five stars...Example Pete Carroll plucked Joe Mcknight out of La. even after he committed to LSU! ONE reason why...location! You can't blame a young kid for wanting to leave his small southern town for the big time school in the big city. I played HS football in Tx with two guys that signed with UCLA. They had their choice of any top program in the South but they chose LA.

What??? Nobody has overlooked SEC. If anything they are extremely overrated. They are nice, but not hands down the best conference ever. The only SEC team that should of even been in the national championship game was Georgia. Not LSU! You guys are missing a lot of good football if you only care about what the SEC is doing. Going in to the bowl games Big 12 had more teams in the top 10. And 2 of them were not teams who get top recruits and go to bowl games every year. it was kansas and missouri. they came out of nowhere and both of them proved they belong with big wins in their bowl games. put that with programs like Oklahoma, Texas, and other up and coming teams like texas tech and oklahoma state, and you have to admit that the Big 12 is a strong conference and they do it without all of the hype and big name recruiting that the south gets.

Pretty close... I will give you that. You can argue both ways. My argument is going to the conference that went 2-0 in BCS bowl games. THE SEC!!!!
LSU, National Champions!!! Can you deal with that for a whole year?!?! I know I Can.... S-E-C S-E-C S-E-C!!!
P.S. That Georgia crap is tired. It doesn't even make since. NO LOGIC!!!!
